Lemurian Seed Crystals , also known as Lemurian Quartz, are a form of quartz that is found in a specific locality of Brazil. These beautiful, delicate crystals are recognizable by their horizontal striations (also called memory records) and often have a light pink tint. They are named after Lemuria, a legendary vanished land (similar to Atlantis) that was inhabited by highly intelligent and spiritual beings, the Lemurians. According to legend, the Lemurians predicted a catastrophic event that would destroy their home land. To preserve their knowledge and wisdom, they prepared the seed crystals and imbedded in them their message of healing and oneness. The legend continues that while most Lemurians left this planet, some went inside the earth to care for and protect it. Holding a Lemurian crystal opens the door to the knowledge and secrets of the Lemurians, and the ladder-like striations signify stairs to heaven or enlightenment.

Dreamcoat Lemurians are Lemurians with “overcoats”, a second growth with an amethyst cap and orange/red body (caused by heavy iron or hematite inclusions). They have inclusions of chlorite group minerals, with some laterite on the surface. Also, they have inclusions of tiny quartz crystals , some with hematite staining. These formed when the crystal was smaller, and on some of those tiny quartz crystals there are little sprays of yellow or red rutile crystals. The main crystal then continued to grow over and around those.
